Yesterday, thousands flocked the national stadium to celebrate heroes’ day.

But amazingly a good number do not know how relevant this day is to today’s Rwanda.

It is during this day that Nyange students who out rightly refused to be discriminated against, basing on ethnic background are remembered.

As we remember such heroes we should thus do away with issues like the genocide ideologies that only stand as a foundation for discrimination.

Let us endeavour to keep our heroes’ memories alive by championing the cause of the struggle.
