Editor,
Both adults and children visit public swimming pools but surprisingly, despite all the money they pay there is a high risk of catching infections and other water related diseases because pools are not often cleaned.
Besides there are swimmers who have also made it a culture to sneeze and spit in water while swimming. This seriously irritates many of us. this problem should be urgently addressed.
As if this is not enough, many changing rooms are also dirty.
It is absurd that hotels earn high incomes from these swimming pools but do not priotise customers’ health.
Standards require that dirty water is drained routinely and the swimming pool cleaned twice a day.
