Alain Kirasa, SC Kiyovu head coach, has urged his players to be cautious when they host Azam Rwanda Premier League rivals Police FC at Mumena Stadium on Friday.

Victory for the visitors will see Police leapfrogging Rayon Sports in third position, at least for 24 hours, while a win for the hosts – by a score margin greater than two goals – will see Kiyovu unseat the law enforcers from the fourth position.

Rayon, with 22 points, visit strugglers Musanze FC on Saturday.

Ahead of the clash between the two nemeses, Kirasa’s side are in fifth position with 17 points while Albert Joel Mphande’s Police complete top four with 20 points.

"We expect a tough game, we need to be well-organised defensively and efficient in the attack. You cannot stay in the race if you fail to take points from your closest challengers,” said Kirasa.

On the other hand, Zambian Mphande, who is bidding to become the first man to lead Police to the league title, said, "We know Kiyovu quiet well, and it is always tough facing them, but we have prepared for the game in the best way possible. We want to win and stay close to the top.”

Meanwhile, league action continues on Saturday with Gicumbi hosting Etincelles at Gicumbi Stadium, AS Kigali take on Espoir FC at Kigali Stadium, Musanze face former champions Rayon Sports at Ubworoherane Stadium, while Kirehe will be up against Sunrise at Kirehe grounds.
