JIMMY STAR is a young talented artiste, guitarist and song writer. His voice is amazing as his music message that reflects on love and healing the society.

Real name Jimmy Pierre Ndatimana, the musician was raised by a family of musicians especially his father who was a guitarist and the family’s entertainer. He says, he inherited his talent from his dad who was an inspiration.

His music journey started in 2014, when he was trying to find ways to make it into Rwanda’s music scene. He then decided to make music professionally in 2017 and has since been blessing music lovers.

He has five songs out now and an EP (Extended Play) dubbed ‘Nkunda Abiwacu’ that seeks to express his love and gratitude to Rwanda and Rwandans.

"My vision is for my music to be bigger and reach a huge audience than it is now. I envision myself being in music concerts that are mostly cultural based since my music also focuses more on the culture. I want my music’s message to heal and give hope to t society because my main goal is make music that helps everyone in one way or another,” the singer said.

The young talent who described his music style as more of soulful world music based on culture can be found at Envision Rwanda, Gishushu.

His first album, he says, is underway and plans to release it this December.

"I have so far recorded seven songs on the album, the rest I’m finishing up to make sure I give the best to music lovers. I will share more information about my album soon.”

The sensational vocalist occasionally performs at Envision Rwanda every Friday night and La Palisse, Nyamata on Sundays.
