Rwanda Energy Group Volleyball Club head coach Benon Bavuga Mugisha has urged his players to be focused in the second round of the league season, which he described as ‘vital’ to his side.

He wants his players, coaching staff and the team’s administrative unit "to be focused like never before.”

Bavuga Mugisha said this season is very competitive and urged his players to give their all during the next round if they are to achieve their targets.

"We have an important battle against UTB over the weekend, and then Gisagara, among other key matches. We can’t afford to lose focus, especially now, this season is very important for us,” the Ugandan born coach said.

He added: "We have to step up in our game if we are to survive in this league. This season requires every player to be at his best. Teamwork and self-confidence, but not overconfidence, is very crucial,” he added.

"UTB are arguably our biggest threat, they play energetic volleyball, which is dangerous. Gigarara and us have quite a similar style of play and our boys have to be psychologically and physically strong,” he added.
