SC Kiyovu will be seeking to add another victory to last week’s win over Rayon Sports when they take on Bugesera FC on match-day seven of the Azam Rwanda Premier League on Friday.

The game will start at 3pm, at Nyamata grounds in Bugesera.

Interim coach Allain Kirata’s side ended a 6-year never win drought against the Blues side with a hard-fought 2-1 victory, thanks to a second-half brace from Djuma Nizeyimana.

While speaking to Times Sport, Kirata noted that, "Rayon Sports’ win boosted confidence and morale in the team, it would be disappointing if we don’t build on it and beat Bugesera on Friday. My players are ready to give it their best.”

Kirata believes his side is able to salvage an away win against Bugesera as they seek to narrow the gap to the top.

After six match rounds, Kiyovu are in sixth position with 10 points, trailing champions APR by five points. They are also three points behind Mukura and are two points within of third-placed Rayon Sports and fourth-placed Police FC.

APR and Mukura have played one game less due to CAF competitions.

In a separate interview, Bugesera coach Innocent Seninga said: "We’re facing a team that is high on confidence after beating Rayon, but, we will also be seeking for the three points. With the home advantage, we won’t settle for anything less.”

In another league match on Friday, Gicumbi will be hosting Emmanuel Ruremesha’s Musanze who are bidding for the first win this season after managing only one point in their first six games.
