I would like to thank the Student Financing Agency (SFAR) for the loans they provide for disadvantaged students. I would however like to urge the agency to give a little more attention to the students in the Diaspora.

Rwandan university students studying in other countries pay high fees, in most cases as a result of the constant hiking of tuition fees. Tuition payment is therefore a great challenge.

It is therefore up to SFAR to ensure that these dues are sent to the beneficiaries on time.

In Uganda, for example, late fees payment may result into missing semester exams. I therefore appeal to the agency to quickly consider these students’ loan application letters with urgency because it is necessary that when one starts school, they pay up all the dues on time and finish.
