Rusizi District constructs 252 houses for genocide survivors

RUSIZI — Two hundred and fifty two houses have been constructed in Rusizi District for Genocide survivors by local residents and district management.
Jean Pierre Turatsinze made the announcement during a recent interview with press, and said roofing was the only remaining work before survivors moved in.
 The district has also finished building 15 houses for vulnerable children in Gatsiro cell in Nkanka sector. AVEGA-Agahozo, an association for genocide survivors has also finished constructing 137 other houses for Genocide survivors in the district.
 The mayor further said that FARG, a fund for Genocide survivors has donated Frw30 million to the district to help in the construction.
 Turatsinze also pointed out that his district is also planning to construct more than 300 houses for Genocide survivors and other needy people in the region.
