Rwanda’s Omar Hitimana has left Uganda’s Super league club KCC for trials in Vietnam, Fifa licensed players’ agent Mugib Kasule confirmed yesterday.

Kasule told Times Sport on phone from Kampala yesterday that Hitimana will undergo trials with Vietnam Premier league clubs TNT and El Phat respectively.

"He is expected to spend a month with the Vietnam Premier league club and their league starts on February 6,” Kasule said.

When asked whether Hitimana will make it in Vietnam, Kasule said that he has high hopes in Hitimana and believes the Rwanda-born player will pass the trials.

"Hitimana is young and intelligent and knows well what it takes to go on to be a professional.

"He is a talented player who can play as a midfielder and defender as well and his stint in Uganda has helped him to gain a lot,” Kasule said.

The absence of Hitimana has rocked hopes of Uganda league champions ahead of their MTN Champions League first round first leg against Mozambique side Ferroviaro de Maputa on February 1.

Defenders Hitimana, Asuman Buyinza and former APR winger Vincent Kayizi are the recent departures from KCC team which travels to Maputo this Friday.

Kayizi left yesterday night for a week-long trial stint with Serbian second division side FK Srem while Buyinza is reported to have joined Kenyan side Tusker.
