MUKURA Victory Sports’ stunning start to the 2018-19 season hit a new high as they made it four successive Azam Rwanda Premier League wins with a shock 1-0 victory over SC Kiyovu on Saturday.
Forward Bertrand Irakunda netted the lone goal in the 12th minute at Mumena Stadium as the Peace Cup holders proved yet again that they are among the upper echelon on merit.
Along with the defending champions APR, who also beat Marines 2-0 on Saturday, Mukura are the only side yet to drop points. Both sides have picked a maximum 12 points, but, the former lead courtesy of a better goal difference (8) compared to Mukura’s 4.
Forward Muhadjiri Hakizimana and in-form youngster Lague Byiringiro were on target as APR edged Marines 2-0 at Umuganda Stadium.
