The construction works of the long-awaited multipurpose indoor stadium project are set to take off. The Ministry of Sports and Culture has announced.

The arena will be completed in ten months and will be built on both the former APR training base and Ferwafa artificial turf outside Amahoro national stadium in Remera.

According to a statement released by the Ministry of Sports and Culture on Friday, teams that used the two facilities for training are advised to look for other playgrounds as construction works for the new state-of-the-art arena get underway.

The 10,000-seater indoor facility will be used to host domestic and international sports and entertainment events.
