Ghana skipper Andre Ayew Dede (PIC) has promised Ghanaians that the Black Satellites will leave no stone unturned as they seek to win their third African Youth Championship title in Kigali.

The FC Lorient midfielder said, "We know what it means to play at this stage of the championship and people of Ghana and especially our President should know that we will keep our nation proud whatsoever the case.”

He added, "Our main target was to qualify for the Fifa U-20 World Cup and now that we have accomplished this goal, the AYC title is our next objective.”

Dede further added that he believes his team mates and the technical staff had executed their tasks beyond their imaginations to enable Ghana qualify for the World championship and they hope to maintain the same attitude as they look forward to win Ghana her third African Youth title.

"We are going to rectify our slight mistakes and return back to Amahoro stadium to win the next fixtures and write Ghana into the history books,” he noted.

Ghana booked her place at the World Youth Cup with a 2-0 win over host Rwanda thanks to Ransford Osei’s brace.

This year’s Black Satellites group who took Ghana to the Africa Youth Championships after a six year absence by beating Gambia in Banjul inflicted further damage on another host with two second half goals.

Osei broke the deadlock in the 69th minute by leaving two markers in his wake before unleashing a fierce drive after being picked out by Dominic Adiyiah.

The Maccabi Haifa player doubled his side’s lead 11 minutes later when he headed in a cross from defender Samuel Inkoom to secure their place in the next stage of the tournament.

For Ghana victory means seven points from nine games. It also means Ghana finish top of Group A and return to the World Youth event for the first time since finishing as losing finalists to Argentina in 2001.
