After clinching a Fifa U-20 World Cup slot for Ghana, Coach Sellas Tetteh has turned his focus on winning the African Youth Championship title being held in Kigali.

Tetteh said over the weekend that he has accomplished his task and called on his young guns to aim at winning the title.

"Winning a ticket to feature in the Fifa U-20 World Cup will motivate my players to yearn for more success in the semi-final of this championship.

"We have played good football in the group stage and I hope to maintain the momentum going in the semi-final,” Tetteh said.

Tetteh believes that his team can lift the African Youth championship title.

"I have a team which is patient and disciplined and they have to maintain this attitude if we are to lift the title,” Tetteh said, adding that Ghana is ready to face any team in the semifinal.
"We will come up against any team in the semi-finals with a lot of confidence and belief,” Tetteh said.

The Black Satellites beat hosts Rwanda 2-0 at the Amahoro Stadium on Saturday while across town at the Regional Stadium in Nyamirambo Cameroon thrashed Mali 3-0.

Ghana’s victory means they finish top of Group A and will face the runners-up from Group B in the semi-finals.

Cameroon was second in Group A and will play the winners of Group B in the final four, with both semi-finals being played on Wednesday.

Both sides now automatically qualify for the World Youth Championship in Egypt in September.
