The national U18 women’s beach volleyball team will be seeking to bounce back with a victory over Mexico following Monday’s defeat to Aruba in their opening game at the ongoing 3rd Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

On Day one of the women’s beach volleyball competition in the multidiscipline event, Christophe Mudahinyuka’s ladies lost to Aruba in three (2-1) sets; 15-21, 21-18 and 13-15, respectively. In another group game, Mexico lost Venezuela in similar – 2-1 – fashion.

"The Aruba game was not impossible to win, it’s just that the girls lacked confidence and concentration. However, we still have chances to reach the knock-outs, especially if we win against Mexico today,” Mudahinyuka told Times Sport in a telephone interview from Argentina on Tuesday.

Rwanda is in Group F along with Aruba, Venezuela and Mexico.
