MUKURA Victory Sports have reinforced their Peace Cup winning squad with four new signings ahead of the 2018-19 season, which starts next month.
Mukura face league champions, APR, on October 6 in Super Cup at Umuganda Stadium, in Rubavu.
The new recruits include; Janvier Mutijima, from AS Kigali, Asmani Moussa Ntahobari, from Burundian giants Vital’O, and Jean Bertrand Iradukunda, from Police FC.
Each one of them signed a two-year deal.
The quartet is completed by former APR striker Onesme Twizerimana, who signed for one year.
"We had been following the four players for a while, signing them is a huge boost to our team as we get ready to represent the country in Caf Confederation Cup and to challenge for the league title next season. They are talented players,” Prosper Iyamuremye, Mukura VS Spokesperson, told Times Sport in an exclusive interview on Wednesday.
He added that, "We are going to have a very busy 2018-19 season, which is why we should build a strong team.”
The Huye-based side, who have proved to be one of the busiest teams on the transfer market, complete the four players’ move following the arrival of five other signings last week.
They included; Jean de Dieu Munezero and Innocent Ndizeye, from neighbours Amagaju, Eddie Saidi Juma and Andre Tokoto, from Burundi’s Lydia Ludic and Atlético Olympic, respectively, as well as Yousuf Munyakazi, from Musanze.
Francis Haringingo’s outfit, who stunned Rayon Sports to lift the Peace Cup title last month, their first major in 26 years, will represent Rwanda in continental competitions next year along with APR, who will be returning to Caf Champions League after winning the 2017-18 league crown.
