Finals

Tunisia     Vs   Egypt       17:00

Third place Morocco Vs    Rwanda    14:00

Rwanda’s U21 men’s volleyball team face their counterparts from Morocco this afternoon as they bid for a third place finish at the 2018 African championships in Abuja, Nigeria.

The game kicks off at 2pm CAT.

In the final showdown, it will be a heated clash between holders Egypt and Tunisia. The two North African giants both secured tickets to represent the continent at next year’s FIVB Volleyball Men’s U-21 World Championships in Bahrain.

The defending champions reached the final after easing past Rwanda in straight sets 25-18, 25-16, 25-22, while Tunisia sent Morocco packing, also in three sets (25-12, 28-26, 25-20), to book date in the final with the Pharaohs.

Rwanda finished third at the 2013 edition of the continental showpiece to qualify for the world championships, staged in Turkey, the same year. However, the slots allocated to Africa have since been reduced to two.
