Rwanda and Mali skippers Niyonzima Haruna and Fall Moctar (Above) were the winners of yesterday’s games Samsung man of the match awards  in the on going African Youth  Championship.

Haruna and Moctar were given Samsung phones for what the Caf media officials described as outstanding performances exhibited on the field. Unlike Moctar, Haruna was at his best as he helped Amavubi snatch a point from Cameroon.

Haruna struck a free-kick which Yusuf Ndayishimiye headed for Rwanda’s equalizer on 45th minute of the game.

Moctar guided Mali to force Ghana into their own half as they looked for an equalizer but all was in vain as Ghana had snatched an early lead on 35th minute through Gladson Awakko before Osei Ransford made life harder for the Malians. But this didn’t stop Mali from pressing hard the Black satellites for a consolation which also proved futile.

Haruna joins Mugiraneza as the other Rwanda who won the Samsung phone after his overall performance in the 2-1 win over Mali in the opener of the African Youth Championship.

Samsung is the official sponsor of the 16th African Youth Championship being staged in Kigali, Rwanda.
