Is Omarion coming to Rwanda?
American artiste Omarion could be coming to Rwanda for the first time, sources close to organisers of an event the singer is being considered for say.
The music festival is rumoured to be scheduled for end of September.
There are, however, concerns surrounding Omarion’s alleged invitation, as many wonder how such a well-known artiste can make an appearance at an event that hasn’t been properly marketed yet.
Omarion, real name Omari Ishmael Grandberry, is a rapper, singer, songwriter, actor and dancer.
The festival is called "Urumuri”, and it is rumoured that organisers invited the singer because of his popularity and love for African music.
Omarion has collaborated with various African artistes including Nigeria’s Tiwa Savage and Tanzania’s Diamond Platnumz, among others.
Dominic Ashimwe to perform in Brussels
Renowned Rwandan gospel singer Dominic Ashimwe is a happy man, if the rumours about his upcoming gig in Brussels, Belgium for the first time hold any water.
Sources say that the singer, known for songs like Ari kumwe natwe, Nemerewe kwinjira, Uwiteka ashimwe, and Imana ntihinduka, to mention a few, will perform at a show dubbed Soirée de Louange, next week.
Word has it that Ashimwe has even bigger plans after the show. He is said to be considering a tour in Belgium and has spoken to various stakeholders to facilitate the plan.
Is Diamond Platnumz looking for love?
Despite all the women in his life, Diamond is still lonely and in serious need of love and to all those who love him, a chance has presented itself.
The ‘Jibebe’ hit maker got people talking after he posted a photo of himself seated while holding his legs, perhaps to evoke feelings of pity; with a more telling caption that left many questioning his intention.
‘’Innocent and single... Can somebody love this poor boy,’’ he posted.
Not one to declare his relationship status considering the drama surrounding his past relationships, his revelation came as a shock to some.
This comes after he publicly called out his baby mama, Hamisa Mobetto, for visiting a witch doctor wanting help to get the artiste to marry her.
The audio clip which has since gone viral features what sounds like the voice of the bongo video vixen asking the witch doctor for several things, including marriage from the one person she is madly in love with.
Upon finding out, Diamond did not mince his words and identified the voice as that of Mobetto.
Is Just Family re-uniting?
Music group Just Family might be on the way to a re-union — again — after many obstacles.
Just recently, we reported that one of the members of the group, Chris Lion, who had been joined a few years back, had decided to leave the group.
Word has it that the struggling music group is now back together, but with another member who had also quit the group years back – Croidja. We are told that Croidja has been living in South Africa for a few years now.
Already, the three members have released Ntagikuba as proof that they are serious and committed to reviving the group.
Redsan: You will never see my wife and family on social media
Redsan is one of the few artistes who have managed to keep their personal life out of the limelight for so many years. Speaking during an interview he explained that the reason why he does this is to protect them from cyber-attacks from haters trying to get to him.
"I am married but you’ll never see my family, not even on social media. I’m very private when it comes to them because there are times they want to be themselves and they can’t do that with me in public eye. I love spending time with them at home since I am on tour a lot, and they keep me grounded. I don’t want them to be victims of cyber-attacks from haters who can’t get to me,” said Redsan.
Redsan has three kids, a son and two daughters. He is also expecting a fourth child soon.
"My wife is Kenyan and very beautiful. We have three kids; a son and two daughters. We are also expecting another child. We will know his or her sex after birth because we love the surprise.”
Redsan is currently signed to Sony Music Group alongside the likes of Alikiba & Wizkid and he will be releasing a fifth album called The Baddest. Jamaica’s Demarco and Nigeria’s Tiwa Savage will be in attendance of his launch.
"I’m the first Kenyan releasing an album under a major record label, Alikiba and Wizkid are my label mates. I’d like for other Kenyans to try and tap into that avenue,” said Redsan.
