Toronto Raptors and Giants of Africa co-founder Masai Ujiri has shared a message of solidarity with Rwandans and wished the country well on the occasion of the 30th commemoration of the Genocide against the Tutsi.

Rwanda on Sunday, April 7, commenced activities of the 30th commemoration of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
Running under the theme ‘Remember-Unite-Renew’, the commemoration is a moment to pay tribute to more than 1,000,000 lives lost during the Genocide and reflect on the country’s transformational journey in the past 30 years.

"Today, we stand in remembrance and solidarity as we commemorate the 30th anniversary of the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi," Ujiri said.
Ujiri is a key friend of Rwanda and has played a role in the country's sports industry by backing major projects like Zaria Courts, a sports facility that is being constructed in Kigali.
