Ghana’s 1-all draw against Cameroon has got Rwanda’s coach Obradovic Tomislav planning on what the Junior Wasps need to avoid early exit from the African Youth Championship.
Tomislav said yesterday that the Junior Wasps will not underrate any team in the remaining fixtures of the championship despite winning the opener against Mali.
"We need to be fully focused before in the remaining games. Cameroon and Ghana are very good teams, and we have full respect for them.
"I know the game will not be easy but we will find a strategy of getting the results. The boys know what they have to do and they will go about doing it from the very first minute,” said Tomislav.
Tomislav also recapped the target for the Junior Wasps in the 16th African Youth Championship.
"Rwanda’s target is to reach the semi-finals which will grant the country a chance to qualify for the Fifa World Cup in Egypt,” the Croat said.
Goals from Jean Mugiraneza and Elias Uzamukunda got Tomislav off to the best possible start in the African Youth Championships on Sunday with a 2-1 win against Mali.
