Ndayisaba advises Ruhango leaders on time management

MUHANGA — The Governor of  Southern Province has advised Ruhango district officials to be time conscious in order to implement the set development goals this year.

Fidel Ndayisaba, made the call at St. Andre Center-Kabgayi last weekend, while closing a two day retreat, organised for top district officials.

The retreat was aimed at analysing strategies for implementing the 2009 performance contracts while at the same time it was called to encourage collaboration of leaders and design ways through which Ruhango district can strategize on how to claim top position nationally in implementing performance contracts in the province.

Ndayisaba, commended the Ruhango district leadership for innovating development initiatives and noted that the district is one of the best performers in the province.

He said: ‘Ruhango district has immense potential for growth and leaders need to see the need for time management in order to implement the set goals in order to have each resident attain personal advancement.

Ndayisaba also urged the participants to uphold national values and to improve their out put and service delivery.

He cited positive values such as speed and respect of time, customer care, quality service delivery, and self respect.

The participants resolved to emerge tops within the province while vowing to cut down on time spent on meetings.

The leaders also resolved to implement more projects while pledging to closely monitor district development policies at grassroots levels among other activities.

The leaders were also urged to build a strong team spirit, cooperate amongst themselves and to increase their individual efforts in resolving issues within the community.
