‘Ibyo Ntunze’ concert was a success in turnout and quality performances, attracting a full house at Kigali Serena Hotel.
The night was filled with exciting musical performances from New Melody, Clever Papy, Siloam choir and other local performers, as well as motivational speakers who uplifted the crowd with words of encouragement.
Organised by Bosco Niyonshuti, aka Bosco Nshuti, the free gospel concert kicked off at 3pm.
Niyonshuti performed some of his popular songs like Ibyo ntunze, Ubereye amashimwe, Umusaraba and Uri indirimbo yanjye. Evangelist Jean Paul Nzaramba, from ADEPR Merdien in Kacyiru, preached and a few people from the congregation were able to receive Jesus Christ as their personal saviour.
"When you receive Christ into your life, you become a new person, and everything about you changes, including your personality and attitude,” he said.
Nzaramba urged the congregation to reflect on Jesus Christ. "Christians should be the light and salt of the world. Our character should shine to the world. The concert was wrapped up by performances from renowned local artistes Alex Dusabe in his renditions of Umuyoboro and Ni nde wamvuguruza. Dominic Nick belted out two songs Nemerewe, Wambereye imfura, and Claver Papy performed amakuru y’ umurwa.
After the event, Niyonshuti said he was thrilled with the outcome. "It went wonderfully and was well attended. We thank everyone who attended, our sponsors, fellow gospel artistes, and the media for their support,” he said.
The show ended at 9pm.
