The national under-20 women volleyball team will be eyeing nothing but a victory when they face their counterparts of DR Congo in the last Group B encounter this afternoon at the ongoing CAVB Africa Women’s U20 Championship in Nairobi, Kenya.
A win against the Democratic Republic of Congo today will see Christophe Mudahinyuka’s ladies secure slot to the last four. The game gets underway at 6pm CAT.
After enduring two consecutive defeats at the hands of Mauritius on Monday and defending champions Egypt on Tuesday, Rwanda bounced back to beat Uganda in straight sets 25-17, 25-8 and 25-16 on Wednesday.
Ahead of tonight’s game against DR Congo, giants Egypt have already booked ticket to the last four and will be joined by the winner between the two neighbors.
The competition also doubles as qualifiers for the 2019 FIVB World Championship of the very age category. The world volleyball governing body is yet to determine the host nation.
