Not even the bad weather on Sunday evening could keep gospel music enthusiasts away from the ‘One Spirit Worship Concert’ organised by Serge Iyamuremye.
Held at Kigali Serena Hotel, popular gospel artistes from Rwanda, Burundi and Zimbabwe held energetic performances that thrilled the audience.
The show started 40 minutes after the expected time due to the heavy downpour across the city.
Gisubizo Ministries was the first to take the stage before True Promises Ministries brought the audience to their feet.
Patient Bizimana, Jean Christian Irimbere and Arsene Tuyi followed and showed their resilience in the gospel industry.
Appolinaire Habonimana from Burundi and Tembalami from Zimbabwe also performed, much to the excitement of the crowd.
Performing some of his popular songs like Arampagije, Amashimwe, Biramvura, among others, Serge Iyamuremye took to the stage around 7:30pm.
Iyamuremye launched his new album dubbed Biramvura composed of 10 songs including Imbohe, Ku musaraba, Yari njyewe, and Wanyujuje.
The concert was also graced by local renowned artistes including Israel Mbonyi and Aime Uwimana, among others, and ended around 9pm.
