Airtel Rwanda has lost its Chief Technology Information Officer (CTIO) to MTN Rwanda, Business Times can confirm.

Fabrice Ndatira left Airtel Rwanda about two weeks ago and has joined MTN Rwanda.

Ndatira was previously the CTIO of Tigo (previously owned by Millicom) before it was acquired by Airtel in December 2017.

He had served at Tigo beginning 2009 in multiple positions starting at core planning engineer, later as core planning manager before serving as the head of strategic quality in 2015.

In 2016 he moved to head of engineering and later become CTIO in the same year.

In response to the development, Airtel has split the position into two to fill the position, Chief Technology Officer and Chief Information Officer.

He recently graduated from the inaugural class of African Leadership University  School of Business with a Masters of Business Administration.

Ndatira’s departure follows a similar move by Chantal Umutoni Kagame who was previously the deputy chief executive officer of Tigo Rwanda.

She moved to MTN Rwanda to hold the position of Chief Business and Corporate Affairs Officer.

Its still unclear the position Ndatira will be holding at MTN Rwanda.
