Former Rayon Sports striker Salita Gentil Kambale has signed one-year deal with Azam Rwanda Premier League side Marines. Times Sport has learned.
In January 2017, the 27-year old joined Tanzania Premier League side Singida United from Etincelles FC but he was released six months later after failing to impress his bosses.
"I am to be signing for Marines, it feels like a home-coming. I am looking forward to enjoying my football here and help them next season,” Kambale said.
"If all goes well, I am also hoping I will finally get granted Rwandan citizenship and play for the national sometime in future – it would be a great milestone,” he added.
In the 2012/2013 season, the DR Congolese-born forward played a pivotal role in the attack as Rayon Sports won their first league title in nearly ten years.
The striker then played under forged names of Pappy Kamanzi.
