APR FC have completed the signing of midfielder Miraf Nizeyimana from Police Fc on a two-year contract.
The former Etincelles FC skipper, who was recruited by Police in 2016, also on two-year contract – expired at the end of the 2017/2018 season last month.
It is understood that Nizeyimana was approached to extend his contract with the law enforcers but the midfielder turned down the offer for a ‘dream’ move to the black and white outfit.
"APR are the biggest club in Rwanda and one of the best in the region, it’s a dream-come-true to be associated with them. I’m looking forward to improving my football knowledge and helping the club to win trophies. It is definitely an exciting new chapter in my career,” said Nizeyimana.
After failing to retain the Peace Cup title, where they lost to Mukura VS in semi-finals last week, the military side have hit the transfer market, and they are reported to have already signed Rwanda international Micheal Rusheshangoga from Tanzanian side Singida United.
Rusheshangoga, 23, joined the Tanzania Premier League side last year after five years at APR where he helped the club to win three consecutive league titles, from 2014 to 2016.
