Rwanda’s national broadcaster, Orinfor has secured rights to televise and broadcast all the matches of the 16th African Youth Championship which starts today at Amahoro stadium.

The development was confirmed on Friday in a press conference organized by the local organizing committee (Cocan) at Ferwafa headquarters in Remera.
Rwanda Television a nd Radio Rwanda will televise and air all the matches which will be played at both Amahoro and Nyamirambo stadium.
Meanwhile, other radio stations which include Radio 10, Flash Fm , Contact, City, Salus have also been given free to air rights .
Last year during the draws, Sport Five senior vice-president Idriss Akki also confirmed that it is a regulation from Sport Five that media outlets from hosting nations are given free broadcasting rights of the tournament.
"The local media will be allowed to air and produce matches on radios and televisions but none will be allowed to offer publicity to any sponsors,” said Butoyi.
As for foreign media companies, they will have to pay for the media rights before being given rights to air and show live matches.
