At the 20th Kigali International Trade Fair (Expo 2018), I&M BANK PLC is making sure to serve clients focusing on the awareness of digital banking in promoting a cashless economy.
The bank has established a branch inside the Expo Ground with access to all bank services for the clients but mainly focusing on digital banking.
Those channels include the wide range of VISA cards, e-banking, mobile banking, the online banking and the digital tax payment.
Meanwhile, the newly launched Push and Pull service whereby a client can be able to transfer money from his/her account to any mobile money platform or from mobile money to an account is available the I&M Bank expo branch.
I&M Bank’s recently introduced SPENN app which is a mobile banking application that enables unbanked people to make a range of financial transactions including transfers and payment for free and can be accessed in the trade fair.
SPENN was developed by Blockbonds, a Norwegian financial technology company that is working to formally financially include the unbanked population which remains relatively high in the country.
The application allows android smartphone users to transact and pay for goods and services.
Beside the focus on digital channels, at the stand I&M Bank is also able to offer other services like opening an account, money deposit and withdrawal, money transfer via Western Union, Money Gram and Express money.
The bank says that it is also planning to have one day of the remaining days of Expo 2018, which will focus on Home loans.
