Rayon Sports FC striker Ismaila Diarra has completed his move to Algeria first division outfit CA Bordj Bou Arréridj, Times Sport has learnt.
The 26-year old Malian forward is reported to have signed a three-year contract with the club that earned promotion to topflight league this season.
Diarra rejoined Rayon Sports at the start of the 2017/2018 season following a one-year spell with DR Congo’s Daring Club Motema Pembe, which he had joined at the end of 2015/2016 season.
The 2016/17 league champions confirmed their striker’s departure via the club’s twitter handle, saying, "We wish you the best for the new ventures our BEAST Ismaila Diarra. We wish you success today and always! Good luck for your future in Algerian club ‘Chabab Ahly Bordj Bou Arréridj, known as CABBA.”
Despite a modest start to the just-concluded season, Diarra progressively picked up the form, scoring eight goals in his last seven games in all competitions.
CA Bordj Bou Arréridj got promoted to Algerian topflight football this season after finishing third in the second division.
Diarra is the second key player to part company with Rayon Sports in less than two months following Hussein ‘Tchabalala’ Shaban’s move to South Africa’s Baroka FC in June.
