Ndayishimiye in race against time to join with Zambian side Kabwe Warriors

DOMINIQUE Antoine Ndayishimiye faces a race against time in bid to sign for Kabwe Warriors, with the Zambian giants credited with a long standing interest in his services.

Times Sport understands that the Police FC striker has been invited to Lusaka for final talks with the club but the law enforcers side have made it clear they will only allow him to fly out after the Peace Cup quarter-final match against APR set for Thursday evening at Amahoro Stadium.

Challenge is the Zambia transfer window closes on July 31, and thus the Kabwe-based side are seeking to push through the deal and international clearance within the remaining four days.

Ndayishimiye scored eight goals to help Police finish in sixth place with 48 points in Azam Rwanda Premier League this season. He has also netted four times in Peace Cup.

Regarded as one of most prolific strikers in the country, Ndayishimiye can play as centre forward, playmaker or winger.

The 24 year-old has made five appearances for the national team – Amavubi.

The former Gicumbi FC forward is best remembered for his brace that sent Kirehe packing in Peace Cup’s second round in February this year.

Prior to joining Police in 2016, Ndayishimiye previously played for Dream Team during his youth football before signing for AS Muhanga and later switching to league arch-rivals Gicumbi.
