Sunday
Zonic Tigers vs Kutchi Sports Club 9:30 am
Right Guards vs Challengers CC 1:30 pm
It will be a battle between third and second spots as Right Guards face their long-time nemesis Challengers in the Rwanda Cricket Association T20 League, with top spot in sight at Gahanga cricket stadium on Sunday.
The clash between the two archrivals, which is scheduled to start at 1:30 pm, will be preceded by the meeting between two winless sides, Zonic Tigers and Kutchi Sports Club, at 9:30 am.
Both Right Guards and Challengers CC won their respective first matches, and whoever wins stand a chance to leapfrog IPRC-Kigali at the top of the league table, depending on Net Run Rate (NRR).
Defending champions Challengers beat fallen giants Indorwa Cricket Club by 100 runs a fortnight ago while Right Guards defeated Zonic Tigers by 53 runs last weekend.
Zonic Tigers and Kutchi SC, both winless, will be hoping to put their first points on board when they come up against each other.
As it stands, Challengers and Right Guards are level on the league table with two points each but the former occupy second place courtesy of their superior NRR of 5.000 compared to the latter's 2.600.
Leaders IPRC-Kigali have an even lower NRR of 2.325 albeit having played one more game. Their next league outing will be against Zonic Tigers on April 14.
Meanwhile, action in the Women's League will resume on April 6, with Charity CC taking on Indatwa Hampshire whereas Muhanga Zebra will face Sorwathe CC.
Gahanga Queens, with two wins out of two, lead the table standing on four points, ahead of Charity (2 points from one match). Muhanga (1 match) and Sorwathe (2 matches) are without a point while Indatwa Hampshire are yet to play.
