Rwanda needs male, gender activists

Dear Editor,

I support women empowerment. In fact any achievement that our women have managed to get has not only put Rwanda on the map but also given other women the courage to work hard and contribute to the general development of our country.

It has however come to my notice that some women are misusing this platform. Our government may be gender friendly but surely it is intolerable when women begin to report false cases of gender based violence simply because they are sure that police will be in full support of what they say, is false them even if.

In this regard therefore, I would like government to also encourage activists who will work as mouth pieces for men so that there can be an equal balance when it comes to issues concerning both men and women.
