Rayon Sports head coach, Roberto Oliveira Goncalves de Calmo, has urged his players to mean serious business when they take on Marines FC this afternoon at Umuganda Stadium, Rubavu.

The two sides face-off in the first-leg of their quarter-final tie in Peace Cup tournament.

Rayon Sports will be looking for a win to boost their morale after losing 2-1 to USM Alger in CAF Confederation Cup on Wednesday – their first home defeat in CAF competitions this year.

"We are working hard to get ourselves back and surge forward. Peace Cup is our only still-open gate to CAF competitions next year, we must treat every game in the tournament like it’s our last,” the Brazilian coach told Saturday Sport on Friday.

The ‘Blues’ are on the quest to win the country’s second biggest tournament for the first time since 2016 when they rivals APR in the final. Ismaila Diarra was the lone scorer.

The final of the Peace Cup tournament is scheduled for August 8 with winners earning the right to represent the country at the 2019 CAF Confederation Cup.

Should APR add the Peace Cup to Azam Rwanda Premier League title they have already won, AS Kigali will represent Rwanda in the CAF Confederation Cup as the league’s first runners-up.
