More than 3000 Rwandans, including hundreds of families and groups of young people, gathered at the open field in Musanze stadium to watch the 2018 world cup finals and to witness the giving away of a motor bike to a lucky winner in the Northern Province of Rwanda.
‘The World Cup In My Village’ screening project was a special project sponsored by Trust industries ltd, UNICEF, ONE UN Rwanda, RBA and many other partners in Early Childhood Development that was held under the theme "strengthening community awareness for ECD services promotion and stunting reduction.”
Nshimiyimana Joseph 32 years could not hide his excitement as he climbed the podium to receive the keys of his new motor bike that were handled to him by the head of commercials at Trust Industries Ltd.
The lucky winner got his chance after buying a cartoon of soap at Musanze stadium during the live screening of the 2018 world cup finals.
"It is the first time I tried my luck in winning something and am really happy that I joined the ballot. I realize now that am a lucky person and that anyone can win by just joining and buying soap from Trust industries. All I can say is that the motor cycle means a lot to me and thank you Trust Industries for you have changed my life” said Nizeyiman
While handing over the Motor cycle to Nshimiyimana, David Kamanda said that the Objective of the Shashagirana na Clear campaign is to reward loyal Clear Blue Bar Soap consumers, to increase Brand and Product Awareness of the Clear Blue Bar Soap and to promote the Made in Rwanda initiative that ensures we consume quality products made locally.
"We want to promote the use of Clear Blue Bar Soap in Rwandan household – Washing, Bathing, and any other use. Our products are locally made yet they are of a high standard and very competitive on the international market. We want people to use our products and to appreciate made in Rwanda products that can be much better than imported products” said Kamanda.
Kamanda also said that the campaign is still on and that many people out there stand a chance to win more motorcycles and many other products from Trust Industries.
"The campaign runs for three months and winners have to buy ‘Clear’ blue soap and could easily win from an assortment of prizes. The campaign will stretch up to late August and we may decide to continue and extend it further if we find it necessary. In order to reach its target market and to communicate the message on Shashagirana na Clear campaign, Trust Industries partnered with RBA for Road Shows countrywide.
"We have participated in 15 Road Shows countrywide and were able to reach our consumers in their localities. We are reaching out to consumers and telling them to buy and use the Clear Bar Soap in order to get the winning Chip” Kamanda said
For a month now, Trust Industries set out to give its competitors -that include mostly foreign brands- a run for their money after starting a Shashagirana na Clear Campaign” that is the company’s new consumer promotion that is aimed at promoting ‘Made-In-Rwanda’ products while fending off competition from foreign brands. ‘Shashagirana’ is basically a Kinyarwanda word loosely translates to ‘Shine, Be extremely clean, and walk with pride.’
How to win
The consumer buys the Clear Blue Bar Soap at any retail shop within their place of residence. Within the bar soap are winning chips with an image of the prize won and are discovered after or during the use of the soap.
The Prize chips are placed in the Bar Soap during the manufacture process at random and the lucky winner can redeem the prize won at any of the nearest Trust Industries Ltd Distributor or at the Trust Industries Ltd Offices in Nyamata
