Fans warned D’Banj over safety of son prior to tragic death
Five weeks ago, the Coco-master posted a video on his Instagram page, showing him walking hand-in-hand with his now deceased one-year-old son Daniel but the toddler’s attention was drawn more to the pool, despite his father leading him away from it.
This prompted a number of fans to question the safety of the baby and asked D’Banj to put in place a number of precautionary safety measures, like watching him carefully and erecting a gate to limit the toddler from accessing the swimming pool without an adult.
D’Banj’s son died on Sunday, June 22, after drowning in the same pool. The singer was said to be away for a musical award show in Los Angeles, United States, when the incident happened.
The singer posted a cryptic message on his Instagram page on Sunday, which many of his followers, including celebrities, saw as a confirmation of the news. While sharing a black picture with emoticons, he wrote, "Trying times. But my God is always and forever faithful.” The post was greeted with a flood of condolences from celebrities and followers of theOliver Twist crooner.

Zari under fire over insensitive HIV post
Zari Hassan has been accused of stigmatising people living with HIV following her eyebrow raising comments on social media about ARVs.
The South Africa based Ugandan socialite took to social media on Monday, to sound off people claiming that the child support she gets from her ex Diamond Platnumz finances her lavish lifestyle. In her post, the mother of five reaffirmed that she is self-made, adding that the message was intended for some people and that those not concerned should not "ropoka kama ARV’s kufichwa mchana, kumezwa usiku,” meaning, "should not act like people who hide ARVs during day time and swallow them during night time.”
