South Korean Ambassador to Libya Choi Sung-soo revealed on Tuesday that the South Korean embassy and construction companies will return to Tripoli earlier in September.
Choi Sung-soo made the announcement during a meeting with the UN-backed Libyan Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad M'etig in the capital Tripoli.
"The meeting discussed means of developing mutual cooperation between the two friendly countries in various fields and practical steps on the return of Korean companies," the information and communication office of Libyan Prime Minister said in a statement.
Most foreign embassies and companies in Libya left the country in 2014 due to the violent clashes breaking out in Tripoli between rival armed groups, which led to the current political division in the country.
