Kigali Conference and Exhibition Village (KCEV) was the place to be last Sunday, when Healing Worship gospel outfit, launched its latest album titled "Mwami Iyo Wavuze” during a live performance to a full house.
The concert, which started at 3p.m, attracted people from all walks of life who thronged the big tent. The event uplifted their spirits as they were serenaded to worship songs and most could be seen raising their hands in reverence and adoration to the Lord.
The 11-track album carries worship songs that include "Byose byarakozwe”, "Atatimiza”, "Urufatiro”, "Mwenye uwezo”, "Nta misozi”, "Alijitowa msalabani”, "Ni ukuri turakomeye”, "Data wo mw’ ijuru”, "Mwami icyo wavuze”, "Mbali na kelele”, and "Ntibyari byoroshye” ” (this particular song brought many to their knees at the launch).
The event was highlighted with a slew of performances from some of the finest gospel artistes in the country. Israel Mbonyi delivered an energetic performance, belting out some of his popular songs "Ibihe”, "Hari ubuzima”, "Intashyo”. His stage prowess and incredible voice left many wanting more. Gisubizo Ministries, True Promises and Alarm Ministries also gave great performances.
In his sermon, Collins Ouma from Kenya said the true praise and worship comes from our own hearts.
"Our hearts must align with God during the praise and worship. God wants our hearts more than songs and performances,” Collins said.
Healing Worship team is a choir at Power of Prayer Church in Kicukiro, and was established in 2009.
The concert ended at 8:45 pm.
