Dear Editor,
I have been following the child trafficking case where Scovia Mbabazi, a Ugandan of Rwandan origin is reported to have kidnapped a 15-year-old boy from Rwanda with the intention of selling him in Uganda.

I understand that the Acting Commissioner General of Police, Mary Gahonzire assured Rwandans that child trafficking is rampant.

Yes, I agree. Our immigration department is very strict on people travelling with children.

A lot of clarification is sought. Most of them without proper travel documents have always been asked not leave Rwanda.

I therefore wonder how Mbabazi managed to sneak the boy out of Rwanda.

She must be brought to book. This will serve as an example to deter other people with similar intentions of child trafficking.
