As a student, I have tried different methods to excel in my academics, and most of them have paid off. However, the most effective revision method has been working in groups with my classmates.
It’s true that working together with your colleagues in study groups helps you to learn faster than working alone. As they say, ‘two heads are better than one’.
One of the biggest benefits of working in a group is that you help each other understand better, especially weaker students; they get to learn from their classmates who are stronger in a particular subject.
Our teacher often says that studying by yourself, especially for a long period of time, can become monotonous. However, by joining a study group, you can break the monotony and learn faster. I believe this is the reason why teachers encourage us to study in groups.
From my experience, joining revision groups has given me new perspectives and study techniques, which I believe is the source of my present academic excellence.
I encourage fellow students to join revision groups with their classmates and combine their efforts. Teamwork is key in studies.
