Intare Football Club will have to make the most of home advantage when the face Pepiniere in the return-leg of the second division football league’s semi-finals on June 16.
Should the black and white outfit edge Pepiniere, they will automatically book ticket to Azam Rwanda Premier League for the 2018/2019 season.
Last Saturday, in the first leg staged at Ruyenzi grounds, both youthful sides shared spoils in a goalless draw. Emmanuel Rubona’s side host Pepiniere this Saturday at Kicukiro Stadium.
While talking to Times Sport on Wednesday, tactician Rubona said his boys are fit and determined to demolish Pepiniere as they seek for a historic promotion to topflight football.
"Saturday’s game is a must-win. The players are ready and determined to do everything possible for the historic promotion. Petty mistakes in the attack cost us in the first-leg, we can’t afford doing the same in the return-leg,” the former APR interim coach said yesterday.
In another semi-final tie, AS Muhanga will be up against Sorwathe, looking for a double after winning the first-leg encounter 2-1 last Saturday.
A draw will be enough for the former Peace Cup finalists to reach the final and book a spot to next season’s Azam Rwanda Premier League.
