A house wife.

"I have been married for the last 15 years. I am a mother of three; two girls and one boy whom I guess might be my last born,” says Beatrice Kilarisi with a smile.

I wake up at 6a.m and the first thing I do before anything else is to pray to my God, have a shower and then prepare breakfast for my husband and children.

At 7a.m I wake my family up for breakfast. After that I collect all the utensils and wash them. When I finish, straight away I mop the house.

By 9a.m, I am already done with the mopping. I then go to the market to buy food and other necessities which maybe lacking at home. I make sure that by 9:45a.m l am home.

When I reach home, I rest while listening to radio up to around 11a.m when I start preparing lunch. Sometimes, I also wash and iron clothes at this time. By mid-day lunch is ready. Between the time of washing clothes and having lunch, I make sure I have a shower.

I normally have lunch at 1pm although I give my children launch at mid-day. Immediately after lunch, I go to bed and rest, not forgetting to set my alarm clock to wake me up at 2:30p.m.

Sometimes I join my friend who is a neighbour for a simple chat but make it a point that by 3p.m I am home to prepare evening tea.

By 4p.m the tea is ready and I put it in a flask. At 5.30p.m, we have tea.

At 7p.m, I prepare supper. I prepare it early because I hate going to bed late.

By 8p.m, supper is ready but normally I wait for my husband who comes in at 9p.m.

After supper, I do not feel like doing anything apart from going to bed. But before that, I pray and thank God for all He has done for me and all the people. I go to bed by 10p.m.
