Last year we saw Rwandatel come back to the telecom market in a big way. Immediately most Rwandans rushed for the state-of-the-art phones that the company offered at the lowest price I have ever seen, for such good phones.

Many of us were so excited that we could actually call and sms for as low as Rwf20. In response, MTN that has for long charged us abnormally high call rates lowered a bit,  especially around the festive season.

I am sure that other Rwandans just like I are for once enjoying the benefits of having more than one player in the telecom business. Well, I think that it is time for the third player to come and join the telecom business this year. I just can’t wait.
