RAYON Sports are reported to be in advanced talks with nine players as the club seeks to reinforce the squad for CAF Confederation Cup and ahead of next season.
The defending champions are now winless in their last three games after dropping points to Musanze FC yesterday in a goalless draw at Ubworoherane Stadium.
With five games to play, the Blues are in third position in the league with 45 points, six adrift of table leaders AS Kigali and five behind second-placed APR. The military side have played one game less.
According to an inside source, Rayon Sports are in talks with a quartet of the club’s key players; Pierrot Kwizera, Djabel Manishimwe, Ange Jimmy Mutsinzi and Faustin Usengimana for the possibility of renewing their contracts.
Besides the four, the club is reported to be on the table of discussion with five other players, and those include APR left-back Emmanuel Imanishimwe, Mukura VS goalie Omar Rwabugiri, youngster Fiacre Ntwali from second tier side Intare FC, and Rwanda internationals; Danny Usengimana and Michel Rusheshangoga, who have both been released by Tanzanian side Singida United after spending one season at the club.
