The proposed slash of power and water tariffs is a good and promising step in the right direction for us the consumers. John Mirenge, the Managing Director of Electrogaz, has stated that next year, power and water prices are to fall.

Many of us have been in living in darkness or without water due to lack of enough money to meet the high tariff rates. We shall be able to perhaps meet these rates since they are going to be reduced making it pocket friendly to all of us, the users.

This will also help many to acquire safe water thus improve the standard of living of the people. All this will greatly help in the realisation of Vision 2020 which is the country’s target.
