The 2024 Men’s Handball National Championship is set to commence on March 23, according to Rwanda Handball Federation (Ferwahand) president Alfred Twahirwa.

A total of 9 teams will take part in the league and they include; Gicumbi, Police, APR, ES Kigoma, ADEGI GITUGA, UR-Huye, UR-Rukara, Gorilla, and Nyakabanda.

The opening fixtures, slated for March 23 at Kigoma, will see ES Kigoma facing off against UR Rukara at 9:00 a.m., followed by UR Rukara against Police HC at 10:30 a.m, and Police against ES Kigoma at 12:00 p.m.

Simultaneously, at ADEGI Gituza, Adegi Gituza will compete against UR Huye at 9:00 a.m., followed by UR Huye against APR at 10:30 a.m., and APR against Adegi at 12:00 p.m.

Meanwhile, at Kimisagara Court, Gorillas will clash with Gicumbi at 9:00 a.m., Nyakabanda will take on Gorillas at 10:30 a.m., and Gicumbi will battle Nyakabanda at 12:00 p.m.

The action continues on Sunday, March 24, starting at 9:00 a.m. in Kigoma, where ES Kigoma will confront UR Huye, followed by UR Huye facing off against Nyakabanda at 10:30 a.m., and Nyakabanda challenging ES Kigoma at 12:00 p.m.

At Adegi Gituza, Adegi will kickstart the day against Gicumbi at 9:00 a.m, followed by Gicumbi battling Police at 10:30 a.m., and Police taking on Adegi at 12:00 p.m.

Lastly, at Kimisagara at 9:00 a.m, Gorillas will lock horns with UR Rukara, followed by UR Rukara's duel against APR at 10:30 a.m., and APR's clash with Gorillas at 12:00 p.m.

Gicumbi won last year's league title with Police and APR finishing in second and third positions respectively.
