It is sad that current reports from the Fund for Assistance of Genocide Survivors (FARG) in the Western Province show that most of the money that is meant to assist the needy survivors is being swindled by the people in charge of disbursing it.

Recently, the Minister of Gender and Family Promotion, Dr. Jean d’Arc Mujawamariya, criticised the officials who are suspected to have embezzled the money.

It is high time, the culprits got arrested and sentenced accordingly— so that this vice is stopped, otherwise many people will continue swindling funds that are meant to assist vulnerable Rwandans.
