Dear Editor,

I would like to thank the management of the Students Financing Agency of Rwanda for introducing a new policy on the government loan scheme recently, in a bid to ease the process of loan application, cost sharing and loan recovery.

For long, many Rwandans have complained that the financially needy students are denied scholarships yet according to many, these are the vulnerable students who need this assistance.

It is also good that a high amount of money close to Rwf312 million is set to be recovered from all individuals in public service who studied on government loans.

If everything goes as planned, the new policy will eliminate complaints concerning loan eligibility and also delayed money transfer that most Diaspora students face. Thank you SFAR.
