THE Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has assured that all the foreign based players invited to the U-20 national team will be in Rwanda for the Africa Youth Championship (AYC) this month.

According to the Guardian, NFF technical chairman Taiwo Ogunjobi said that discussions were ongoing between the federation and the respective clubs in Europe.

Already, the directive has been heeded by Rabiu Ibrahim of Sporting Club in Portugal and Udinese striker, Odion Ighalo, who both have returned to their bases.

The uncertainty surrounding the availability of players is the reason the coaching crew is delaying to name the final squad for the biennial tournament.

Meanwhile, Super Eagles coach Shuaibu Amodu will be keeping a close, if less than active, watch on proceedings at the Flying Eagles camp when he resumes duty in Abuja next week.

Sources close to the coach informed KickOffNigeria.com that Amodu was not only unhappy at reports coming out of the Flying Eagles camp, but also the haphazard nature of the preparations.
