Defending champions Rwanda junior handball team take on Kenya today in a semi-final clash of the ongoing IHF Challenge Trophy tournament in Uganda as the youthful side seeks to retain the regional tournament.

In another round of four encounter, Group A leaders Ethiopia lock horns with the hosts Uganda, who finished second in Group B.

Unbeaten Rwanda finished top of Group B with 8 points, two of the 2016 finalists Uganda.

According to Rwanda’s head coach Anaclet Bagirishya, the team will have their sights set on the ticket to Sunday’s final when they take centre stage with their counterparts from Kenya this afternoon at Namboole Stadium courts.

He noted that all the players on the team are motivated and determined to retain the title as they eye the sole African Championships qualification up for grabs.
